We are a group of students from the Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, currently undertaking a research project as part of our academic coursework under the guidance of Prof. Rupasree. Our study focuses on understanding career management and career progression among persons with disabilities, with a specific focus on visually impaired professionals, in Indian workplaces. Through this research, we hope to explore the opportunities, challenges, and support systems that shape career growth for this community, which will contribute to evidence-based insights that can inform more inclusive workplace practices. We are sharing this across various networks and communities because we believe understanding the lived professional experience of this community will add real depth to this study.
