What is FSCompanion? FSCompanion is an AI assistant that helps JAWS users find commands, keyboard shortcuts and step-by-step guidance for JAWS, Windows, Chrome, Word, Excel, Outlook and more. 1. JAWS 2025 and Later – Integrated FSCompanion FSCompanion is integrated with JAWS. Desktop Keyboard Layout: Press INSERT + SPACEBAR, release both keys, then press F1. Laptop Keyboard Layout: Press CAPS LOCK + SPACEBAR, release both keys, then press F1. 2. Ask a Question 1. Press TAB to reach the question/edit field. 2. Type your question in simple language. 3. Press ENTER. 4. JAWS reads the response. 5. Use ARROW KEYS to review the answer. Example: "How do I insert a row in Excel using JAWS? Give me the shortcut and steps." 3. Navigate the Answer H – Next heading SHIFT + H – Previous heading TAB – Next control or link SHIFT + TAB – Previous control or link ARROW KEYS – Read the answer 4. Useful JAWS Commands INSERT + H – JAWS Help for the current application INSERT + W – Windows shortcut help INSERT + F6 – List headings INSERT + F7 – List links 5. JAWS 2024 and Earlier – Use the Web Version These versions are not integrated with FSCompanion. To use FSCompanion: 1. Open Chrome or Microsoft Edge. 2. Visit FSCompanion.ai. 3. Press TAB to reach the question field. 4. Type your question and press ENTER. 5. Use JAWS to read and navigate the response. Note: In JAWS 2026, FSCompanion is presented as Vispero Companion following the branding transition.
