No need to registry tweeks. open windows settings, go to privicy and
security>search>press tab and turn off web searches, press tab and also
turn off microsoft store. all done.

I wanted to share the steps to disable web results in Windows Search
using the Windows Registry. Please note a word of caution: those with
the technical know-how only should attempt these steps. Others, please

Here are the steps to disable web results via the Start button search box:
1. Press the Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box.
2. Type `regedit` and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer
*(Note: If the Explorer key does not exist under Windows,
right-click the Windows key, select New > Key, and name it Explorer.)*
4. Inside the Explorer key, right-click an empty space on the right
pane, select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value, and name it
`DisableSearchBoxSuggestions`.
5. Double-click `DisableSearchBoxSuggestions` and set its value data
to `1`.
6. Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
7. Find "Windows Explorer" in the list of processes, right-click it,
and select Restart.
Your PC will flash, wait at least 5 seconds before you hit any key, it
is recommended that you restart your computer after this process. Now
when you search using the edit box in the windows search you will only
get local results on your PC and not everything on the web from Bing.
