An Integrated Development Environment abbreviated as IDE is a Software application or tool integrated with programming environment and provides graphical user interface (GUI) features for authoring, modifying, compiling, deploying and debugging software applications.
What is its usefulness? An IDE may be a stand-alone application or a part of one or more existing application. IDE provides user-friendly GUI and framework for the development of software on many modern programming languages and it consists of a code editor, compiler/interpreter, debugger and tools for deployment of the newly build software. And the main feature of most of the IDEs, the GUI allows the user to do visual programming by creating applications by drawing or drag-drop of programming building blocks which helps the productivity of developer to be maximum.
