I vaguely know how exactly this 15 digit thing works, but these days, where passwords are being hacked, locking codes are being blown up (as if solving an easier math problem), I wouldn't be surprised to know if any thief has discovered a means of unlocking the IMEI number. One can't be so sure as to say, "so and so person is no longer using my cell, because I have disabled it.". What do you feel about insuring our expensive cellphones. Are they really cost-effective?.
