Rss feeds allow us to view the contents of a website, as they get updated, without loging in to that website. If you subscribe to feeds of a news website, for instance, you would be able to view the latest headlines without going to that site. Clicking on a particular headline will open the website with the page that contains the complete article. Many websites provide this feature and Jaws normally announces if the website we log in provide rss feeds. We can access them with IE 7 or Mozilla Firefox. We can also use external feed readers, such as Google Reader, for the same. Once you click on the appropriate RSS link, things would explain themselves. Generally there is a link to subscribe to the feeds, after clicking on which a dialogue box appears that guides us to complete the subscription process. The same can be done from the Subscribe to This Page option in the tools menu of the browser. With IE 7, we can also use the Feed Discovery option if we fail to find the appropriate link.
