Hi all,
I totally agree with the thought of spreading awareness amongst eye-specialist and eye hospitals in India. At XRCVC, Mumbai last year we conducted training course for the Bombay Eye Society ophthalmologists on training them on different accessible technology like jaws, magic and OCR. Dr. Kulin Kothari's eye clinic in Mumbai these assistive technologies in their clinic and we trained their staff on demoing and usage of assistive softwares and aids. Few renowned eye doctors have visited us and they were amazed with the modern technology like zoom-ex (instant scanner and magnifier). At XRCVC currently we are working on a developmental project of spreading awareness about assistive technology amongst all levels in the society from parents, employers, doctors to a layman. Once we finalize it we will definitely announce it.
