Kerala
Marriage Assistance of Rs. 10000/- to disabled girls and daughters of Disabled
Parents having annual income of less than Rs. 36000. Marriage Assistance of
Rs. 5000/- to disabled girls having annual income below Rs. 22000 through
Kerala State Handicapped Persons Welfare Corporation.
Govt. of Kerala has created a Distress Relief Fund for the disabled with a
corpus of Rs. 1 Crore. The interest acquired from this fund is being utilized
for giving financial assistance to disabled people for the following purpose:
(a) for Medical treatment including operations
(b) to persons who become disabled due to accidents
(c) for any other purpose which are not covered by existing
schemes.
The maximum amount of financial assistance allowable to one person is Rs.
5000/-.
Minimum 03years service required for PWDs for entitlement of Pension instead of
10years for others.
5% reservation to PWDs in allotment of Ration shops.
Uttar Pradesh
For the rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, there is a provision for
loan of Rs. 20,000 under `Dukan Nirman Yojna. Subsidy of Rs. 5000/- is
provided and interest @4% is charged on the remaining loan amount.
Parental property of PWDs cannot be sold out by others without the consent of
D.M.s
.
Orissa
Atma Nijukti Paramarsha Mela (Campaign for Self-employment Counselling) was
orgainsed in all 314 Blocks of 30 districts of State from 10th to 31st January,
2008 for assessment of disability, issue of disability certificates, income
certificates, transport concessions and assistive devices through a single
window approach.
Himachal Pradesh
Directorate of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of Himachal Pradesh has
published a booklet containing information regarding all the schemes etc. for
the benefit of the persons with disabilities.
Goa
Made available the Menu Cards in Braille at Hotels above 3 star status
Puduchery
Grants Incentive to promote eye donation @ Rs. 5000/- to the immediate
relatives of the donor.
