taken from another mailing list Here is how you do it : You need a computer with cd burner(CD RW) and sound blaster (sound card), a audio cable (1-1), cassette player with headphone jack, CD burner software (Roxio/Nero), a music converter software (Audacity/dbPowerAmp) See links.

Install the music converter software on your computer and also the CD burner software (it normally comes with CD RW drive) 2. Connect the cassette player headphone jack to the microphone point in computer with the 1-1 audio cable. 3. Put the cassette inside the player, start audio recording software on computer and as the cassette plays you can record its contents in mp3 format using the software (this requires some trail and error and practice) 4. Once you get the mp3 files of audio cassette recording its simple just burn a music CD using the CD burner software and you can play this in any CD/VCD/DVD player.
