Hi Vamshi, DVDs or CDs are read-only media and you cannot change the filenames like you do for files in hard disk or pen drives. i haven't tried renaming files while writing disks. if it is not possible, you may copy the dat file on your hard disk, rename it and then burn your DVD/CD. i do not know if renaming it to .wmv would still keep it valid for playing. ..dat files when renamed to .avi, they do play in softwares like winamp, VLC media player, which to my experience are more accessible than windows media player.
