It doesn't matter the least bit to me if you are blind or not. And as the
person who actually started this list and framed its rules initially, I
don't remember putting in a rule that only blind people should subscribe to
it. Further having moderated this list for close to 5 years, I am aware that
there are a number of sighted people on the list who are interested in the
blindness area. So, joining the list doesn't necessarily mean that you are
blind.

Secondly, no one is stopping you from doing anything. You can write about an
obscure marine species in the Indian Ocean for all I care.

As I said in my previous email, you gave no background information as to
what your field of study is and you also didn't mention that this is your
personal interest. Having worked in the mainstream industry for sometime now
and having evaluated CVs of both out of college graduates as well as
experienced candidates, all I am saying is that you should use such an
opportunity to write a term paper to show your skill in your field of study
or a topic that you think you would be working on in your job in the future.
This sort of a term paper will only help to isolate you in the already
paranoid job market.

So, I offered a piece of advice. Just take it or leave it. If you get
defensive about your blindness or anything, you won't be able to do
anything...

Hai Kiran,

first of all, let me just tell this straight at your face.
I don't think whether or not I am a blind should matter to you. It
would appeal to common sence that one who is interested or is a blind
himself would take such a topic. wouldn't it?
let me clarify that this is not for marks or to please any one. Let me
also tell you that this is out of
my personal interest... If I am not a visually challenged, why would I
join this list anyway?

so, I hope that every thing is clear...

Regards
Ravi Paul
