Please note, since one byte is =to 8 bits, and since internet speed is always measured in kilo bits per second, and since your browser shows the download speed in kilo bytes per second, so your actual download speed will be 8 times less than your actual internet speed. For example, if your internet speed is 64kbps, then your download speed will be around 8kBps. Similarly, if it is 256kbps, then your download speed would be around 32kBps. Please note that if it has to be kilo bits per second, then the letter B will be written in lower case, and if on the contrary, if it is kilo Bytes, then the letter will always be with capital letter. as far as I know, 2 MB ps, means 256 kbps. when we take the connection of 128 KBPS, the download speed fluctuates between 5 to 16 KBPS, Here, 128 KBPS, means kilo bit per second, and 16 kbps means kilo bite per second. your speed seems quite right, because sometimes you're getting even 700 KBPS.
