hello accessindia and this time, ( specifically mamta ) i'm trying to provide some help about latest phones, and external hdd's, ( though these are only my personal views, and nothing like a bench mark sorta thing )
as we all know, that now a days, the phones either runs on window pocket pc, version 6 is latest i think, and symbian ( used by nokia in some of its phone, and is highly used ) sadly, cheeper phones, also runs on jawa, but there's no 3rd party software installation permitted hence, they are out of reach in terms of accessibility i my self never got a chanse to try a mobile running under pocket pc ( windows), and install mobile speak. rather, i my self owns nokia n72. runs on symbian 8. with talks 3.0.0.5 however, if you gonna go for higher range phones, n78, n82, and n95 could be a good option. for average phone, consider n70, n72, and n73 a fair option. ( however, out of it, i like n73 runs on symbian 9.1 because of very good music, pretty slim design, stable, and providing support for installing newer 3rd party applications comeing on internet these days. ) as far as i've seen, there's no problams if you install talks 3.5 on n73. the phone costs around 12000 500, and n72 is somewhere nwear to 7000 i guess. do consider these important factors before going for any phone. 1. what's the stand by and talk time of a battery? 2. what about music quolity? ( more spekers doesn't meens grate music all the time.) 3. wate of the phone? dimensions and keys ( can u use them comfortably ) 4. what are connectivity solutions? infrared is not acceptable in exchange of bluetuth at all. to summarize the phone's chapter, i'd say, you really have too many options, depending on your budget. but so far i've seen n70, n72, n73 and n95 starting from 7500 up to 30000, the choice is all yours. and oh yeah. hold om for 1 month, and n96 is gonna be a charm in mobile world. costing somewhere around 35000 running on symbian 9.3 on to hard drives now. i've seen 2 maigre players in external storage namely buffalo and passport. the most storage is around i thing 400 gigs, and rest you have to check out. it mite be somewhere near to 5000 and really passport and buffalo can be a good option. however, do also check the transfer rate ( RPM's of the external hdd, ( faster the rpm, better the data retrieval rate. ) note that an external storage medium should be really portable. i've seen local venders giving external hdd's, but they are so damn heavy, never go for those. and yeah, if you think that pen drives can do the task, kingston 16 gb can be a good option too. i think, i've been able to summarize what all i know in this subject. and feel free to contact on my email for any further questions, and i'll try my level best to answer. with warm regards, ruchir. msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- As long as forever, I will stay by your side, I'll be your companion, Your friend and your guide!!!
