wordia.com

This Web site aims to be a ‘next-generation’ online dictionary. Just like a
traditional online dictionary, wordia.com allows you to search for the
spelling, meaning and etymology of a word – but now, you can also record and
upload a video of yourself defining any word the way you choose. Other users of
the site can therefore discover what a word means to you – a complete stranger.
Each ‘authored’ video definition is, of course, appended against the correct
textual entry. Go ahead, try it.

Here’s a useful resource to track down information on the Web, this site is an
aggregator site that collects ‘how-to’ links on various subjects - from
motorcycle repairs and first aid, to solar cooking and personal finance. What’s
more, it also seeks out links on festival preparations, including on those
celebrated here, such as Ganesh Chaturthi, Onam and Ramazan.

parents. Titled ‘Study Guides and Strategies’, the self-explanatory resource
offers a large list of articles, tips, tricks and methods to help you prepare
for your tests. And while some of the content is US-centric, most of the
material is still useful as it applies to all learners.
