As far as Supernova installation is concerned, Here is what dolphin says:
How do I install Dolphin Access software?
The installation of Supernova within Windows XP or Vista (all 32 bit
flavours of Windows Vista) may require the assistance of the System
Administrator or
someone with the equivalent administrator privileges if the computer is not
your own machine.
Once Windows has loaded, insert Dolphin installation CD into your PC/Laptop's
CD/DVD drive. The installation program should be detected automatically and
auto-run will commence for your program to be installed.
If the CD doesn't load into the installation program you'll need to run the
DS.EXE in the root folder of the CD. This can be achieved by using Windows
Explorer to locate the CD/DVD drive, then select the DS.EXE option and press
enter.
Once the installation program has loaded you will be required to select the
language of the product you wish to install. Followed by a request to select
the product version ("Single User" or "Network"), by default the "Single
version" option is selected.
A welcome dialog box will now appear giving the required information on how
to use and complete the installation of your new Dolphin Software.
Once installation is complete simply log off and re-start your computer to
complete the installation process and start using your new software.
