Hi,

OpenOffice.org can be made accessible to some extent by installing the current 
update of Java Environment and Java Access Bridge. 
However, if you are required to use OpenOffice in your workplace on a regular 
basis, then you can install any distrobution of Linux and then use OpenOffice 
with its screen reader Orca. Linux and its screen readers are open source, but 
it has a steap learning curve.
