Hi For selecting the scanner source, go to settings menu, then select scanning and then press enter. Tab down until you hear scanner source. In case you are using Umax scanner, which I am using, you will have three options. Scan selecting each one and go with the one which scans the best. Remember, when you have decided the option with which you want to go, save the settings in the settings menu. Otherwise, you will have to do this every time you open Kurzweil. Hope this helps.
