Ask on the talks list. Some one may have tried it there. I had a similar situation with the Nokia e51. The talks release did not support it at the time I bought it. However, Nuance were working on the support and the later version of Talks did have that support.
Be warned though you may have to label some icons like those for unread messages etc., on an unsupported phone.
