What's the cost? Also, I understand Finereader is bundeld along with the
software package of a few scanners like Ebson. Pl give more information
if you have.

If you are going to do heavy duty scanning, look at the plustec optic
book
3600 line of scanners. These are book edge scanners.  The advantage of a
book edge scanner is that you can also scan the material on the binding
since the scanner glass runs till the edge of the scanner.

The plustec optic book 3600 scanner is a recommended scanner with the
k1k.
It also works well with Fine reader v9.
