I use rockbox, which is an open source firmware for several MP3 players that allows you to have all the menus and commands on the player become self-voicing and allows the creation of voice tags for all music files and folders that you copy to the device -- effectively acting as a screen reader. Before buying the MP3 player, check on the website www.rockbox.org to see if the specific model you are buying is supported or not.
