Hi Pranav,
Do you get two hours over and above your original battery time by turning
off the monitor? If yes, that is a great deal extra indeed. Is
it possible to turn off the monitor in laptops without closing the lid using
that piece of hardware from Technovision? Also, is this extra time the same
regardless of the task performed on the laptop? Certain tasks apparently
consume more battery power than others.
I recently ordered a Dell laptop whose battery life I was told will be
anywhere between three and three and a half hours. An additional battery
which would have increased the battery time by a further two hours would
have cost me 6000 Rupees extra. If this tool increases the battery life by
two hours, it is as good as having an extra battery for as little as 2500
Rupees.

Amar,
Some laptops do have a feature to turn off the monitor. If they do not,
you
could always try the laptop battery saver from
http://www.techno-vision.co.uk
which is what I do.
As for time, I have got about 2 hours extra. A lot depends on what you are
doing with the laptop and the condition of the laptop battery.
