Hi,

I am posting here all the necessary information that any one
may need regarding Apple’s iPod nano (4th generation) and iTunes 8.
Please note that I already posted all this information when the 4th
generation was newly released. I don’t think I would like to do that in future.

1.
Accessibility:

The iPod nano (4th gen) can have
its menus spoken out loud with the help of the default speech synthesizer
present on your computer. This is done by the generation of voice tags by iTunes
when your iPod is connected to the computer. Note that using iTunes is
necessary for transferring audio content to your iPod. Also, the nano 4th
gen has a screen and hence the need for spoken menus. Rockbox does not support
this model and it is not necessary either.

Read this web page carefully.

Though the web page does not mention Jaws,
you can perform almost all functions using Jaws with iTunes even with out
J-tunes. J-tunes are special Jaws scripts that provide better support with Jaws
and have to be purchased.

2.
Price and Size:

iPod nano comes in 2 sizes: 8 GB and 16 GB.
Check your local Apple store for the exact prices. The range is from Rs 9000 to
Rs 12000 approx.
