i welcome u to orkut on behalf of all orkut users, its simple
to add friends to ur friends list,
one way is to go to the search form and type the name of whom u want
to add and it displays a list of names with such a name and related
names too, but this might go wrong as many times pals in orkut give
different names for themselves.
the other way is to find out by getting into ur friend who is already
there in ur list and checking his profile and adding friends and
communities from his profile, this is legal as unless the user
restricts the profile of an orkut user is an open diary that any one
can visit, but avoid providing mobile number and very personal details
in ur profile as anyone can missuse them
after getting into ones profile there is a link named "add friend"
which helps to add that friend to ur friend listpreceded by other
details like what sort of frd is he, u can understand them once u go
through it...
