Former President R. Venkataraman passes away (Automatic Number Identification
Writes) Released on Jan. 27.2009 At 5PM

Beating the retreat cancelled (Hindustan times) January 28.2009.

Her Excellency Honourable President of India Dr. Ms. Pratibha Devisingh Ji
Patil said on pre Republic day address to the Nation, "
As our tri-colour flutters high in the sky tomorrow, let each one of us take a
pledge to bring glory to India and take our country to its destination of
becoming a great nation that stands for human values."
and the man who was harbinger of great human values in India is now no more. He
loved poor and had a desire to do the best for those whom dame Nature denied
from the gift of sight.
Now his messages are there to remind the powerful that nothing like humanity
in the World and this is the lesson that our great India teaches to the World.
The personality and height of our Honourable president was more than the Word
"height" in this respect. I remember the days gone by when I had the first
opportunity to meet any Indian President with my problems, which he heard
patiently. His simplicity is still remembered by me. As a small resident of my
Country the treasure of my word finished to express the grief that I owe by
this news. I wish that God give me courage to follow the principles of his
simplicity, dedication to work, patience, and great intellect of him and
patriotism to the Nation.
