Hello friends, I do like to share something with special today. Although many acts passed, many judgements favoured our status and many seminars organized, I don’t find enough change in visually challenged life. For instance let us take the issue of coins used in India: Few years ago they are easy to be recognized by blind people. Now it becomes strenuous even for sighted. Much difference is not observed between Rs 5 & 50 Np, and 1 rupee & 2 rupee coins. What I feel is the Government is not considering the interest and needs of visually challenged. They can mint the coins in different shapes like square and 10 paisa coins which are left behind. I humbly request all access Indians prepare a mail and send it to the Government of india ie Finance ministry and the President. We can get their mail Ids at Goidirectory.nic.in Everyone should ask not to mint such coins again. If the Government wants to introduce new coin, the coin should be scrutinized by a team of the blind community. I hope you will respond well.
