We would like to thank esteemed members at Access India, who appreciated our
efforts and acknowledged their appreciative and enthusiastic response. 
In this email we have made our best effort to solve all the queries that we
received recently from the Access Indians, please carefully go through the

the medium used is itself not full proof as it says

Introduction 

We are delighted to inform you about our new SMS based information service. 

NAB Delhi had established telephonic/Email  helpline service in 2006, we
have been serving society for more than 2 years.  This service had benefited
many visually impaired computer users, as they get a telephonic assistance
on all technology issues. 
Now continuing the progression of further developments and serving the
persons with visual disability, NAB Helpline has started an SMS based
service. 

Declaration

Information sent through SMS is best in our knowledge, but we are not
responsible for any damage caused due to use of this information. For
further clarification in any of the issues, or to know more how to use the
information and its results, you are advised to contact NAB Helpdesk.

Topics to be discussed.

This service will focus on following subjects.

Updates, Tips and tricks on the following 
ü       Screen Reading Software’s 
ü       Screen Magnification Software’s 
ü       Optical Recognition 
ü       Mobile Phone Accessibility 
ü       Commonly used applications such as word processors & spreadsheets 

•       Disseminate information about the various training courses available
in the country in the field of assistive technology 

•       Provide updates about the job openings in the field of technology
for blind persons. 

•       Provide information about new courses for upgrading skills,
Introduced by various organization in different parts of the country.

How will this service work?

As it is mentioned above that this will be an SMS based service, the members
will be added to the SMS group. Daily one message will be sent on the topics
mentioned above.

How to join? 

To become a part of this service you just have to follow these simple 
Steps.

Subscription by SMS 

1.      Go to your mobile’s “Write Message option”.
2.      Type the text as it is written below please remember the text is
case sensitive, so be careful.

Online subscription 

Those who are having a Google account can subscribe online. To subscribe
online follow these steps

3. Follow the instructions as displayed on the webpage.

Important Note

All those members who are subscribed and receiving the information via SMS
regularly are requested to inform us either by email or by calling us, as we
don’t get information about the persons subscribed to our SMS Channel from
Google. This is required for the database of Mobile numbers, that needs to
be maintained of those members who are subscribed to this service. This
would help us to provide you an uninterrupted service, when we plan to
change our SMS service provider.

If you have some information that comes under the categories listed above,
or any other useful information that will benefit visually impaired persons
and feel that it should be shared with others too, you can send in the
information to us by post, email, or you can convey us by simply calling us.


The information will be shared with the group after proper authentication
and the information submitted by the users should be supported by evidence.
The information will be subjected to introspection of helpline team.
