Hi Ghansham

I am unsure if an order to that effedct exists, however, you can ask your office to relieve you from this duty and it is readily agreed. It happend to me and when I informed my officials, they replaced me with someone else without fuss.
Harish.

Subject: [AI] exemption to blind from election duties

       Dear Group Members,

I am a completely visually impaired lecturer in
English in a degree college. Recently, I received an order from the district collector of Chandrapur assigning election duty to me. As per my knowledge,
visually impaired employees are exempted from election duties by Election
Commision of India. I, however, do not have the relevant order of ECCI.
Hence, I would be grateful if anyone having the copy of this order could
E-Mail for me via accessindia group.

Dr. Ghanshyam Asudani.
