ICHIP launches @ BOX web browsing device 

Hyderabad (PTI): The city based ICHIP India Limited launched the @ Box Web 
Browsing Device which enables browsing the internet at a cost point and 
performance
that is equal to that of a PC. 

Koto Bhaskar, CTO and President, ICHIP launching the product last night said 
the @ Box can connect to a low cost CRT TV, VGA Monitor, LCP Monitor or High
definition LCD/ Plasma TV, delivering a uncompromising www browsing experience. 

Mr. Bhaskar said the ICHIP has signed an MoU with BSNL for supply of 500 
million units particularly for supply in rural India. 

The company also has plans to export the product to South America, Bangladesh 
and China during this year. The @ BOX, first of its kind in the world, would
attract a market of $ 90 million by next year, Bhaskar said adding that the BOX 
is smaller than palm and is sold in standard package with a key board,
track ball, power adaptor and a cable to connect to the TV and would cost Rs 
6990.
