Hi Rohit,

The special thing about the scanner is that the platon extends right up to
the edge of the scanner. The advantage of this is that you can scan all the
material on the page of a book even if the book is bound. in other scanners,
many a time, the binding of the book falls on the side of the scanner so,
the contents of the page are cut off.

As regards the price, if I remember correctly, the scanner cost me 13,000
rupees.

Pranav

I recently purchased a Plustek optic book 3600 scanner. Though I use it
primarily with fine reader, the scanner is a recommended scanner when using
the Kurzweil 1000.

I am in New Delhi and I bought the scanner from Nehru Place. I would be
happy to give you the contact information of my vendor. He was able to
source the scanner for me.

I checked the list recently and most of the scanners given in the list are
not available in the market.
Kannon scanners and models like Lide 20, 30, 60, ETC are totally out dated
it seems.
It will be of help if the members who have purchased scanners recently come
up with a few helpful tips.
