I have merely provided information that I know. As I have mentioned already,
the documentation on the SAP Service Market Place is the one that needs to
be followed.

Subject: Re: [AI] Accessibility of SAP

Hi,

Perhaps you didn't read my entire reply. I have presented both sides of the
argument, focusing on the fact that SAP is indeed accessible, but there
might be some problems as well.

Since you have chosen to emphasise on only one side of the issue, here is my
response.

These different user interfaces have their own set of accessibility
requirements and configurations.
R: Indeed. The first link that I pasted in my email deals with configguring
different SAP product interfaces as well as Jaws. There is also no guarantee
that an individual working with one screen, may not have to deal with the
other eventually.

I supported anumber of blind users working SAP applications and they have no
technical background other than a basic awareness of computers and how to
use them.
R: Precisely my point, you supported them to setup the accessibility mode
and the screen reader's configuration manager. Do you think that every one
would know about making the requisite changes, or even to ask the right
person?

All SAP customers of SAP can download the scripts from the Service
MarketPlace. And the scripts don't have to be customized for individual
users.
R: The download link was the last link in my email. I don't doubt that you
updated the scripts regularly, but the scripts support only version 6.4. It
actually depends on the employer whether she wishes to stick to this
specific version.

As I mentioned, there is no need to write any more scripts apart from those
provided by Jaws.
R: This actually depends from person to person. I know people who asked a
Scripting service in UK to modify the existing Jaws scripts.

Regards
