As mentioned in my previous mail, I am doing an on-the-ground check
tomorrow if election booths are accessible for PWDs as promised by the
EC. If you or people known to you (with any kind of disability) are
voting tomorrow, pl ask them to contact me and share their experience. I
basically need info on the polling booth where they cast their ballot
and if accessible features specified by the SC were in place. Also, pl
ask them to mention that if they have been mistreated or if officers
were doing a shoddy job of providing assistance to PWDs. Pl share with
them my mobile number and also ask them to immediately get in touch if
there are serious violation of rights. In case of stand offs, you can
message me or call me. I can personally rush to the place or ask my
colleagues to visit, if they are nearby.
