Oh yes, it is quite popular. Just to let you know that Twitter messages were
the first source of information during the Mumbai terror attacks. Bollywood
stars are now "express'" themselves through Twitter messages.

Subject: [AI] accessible version of Twitter

Hello,

I am unsure how popular the Twitter social networking tool is in India
(I live in Canada), however, for those of you who may be interested,
Dennis Lembrée has written an accessible web application for use by
folks with disabilities called Accessible Twitter. It is located at
www.accessibletwitter.com

If you are not already a Twitter user, you will need to first set-up
an account by selecting the "New User?" link. This will bring you to a
registration form on the main Twitter website which does use an audio
captcha as part of the registration process. Once you have a Twitter
account set-up, you can use Accessible Twitter and tweet away.

It is in Alpha stage, and Dennis is open to feedback and suggestions.
Check it out and let him know what you think.

Jennison
