I am using adobe 9 & jaws 8
is it possible to rectify this?

I have got the same problem. I have got a PDF file which a sighted person
can read, but our JAWS Dada can not. Rather, it says, "Alert! Empty
pages."
If I convert it into TXT format, the TXT file has no text in it. Let me
inform you that I use Adobe9, which is the latest version. Is there any
solution?

I was using jaws 4.5 and had difficulty reading pdf documents and now
when I am using jaws 9.0, I am still not able to read them properly.
