Dear Access Indians,
My sister's laptop is creating a problem. On inserting a pen drive and
then trying to open it, it throws a message saying- access is denied.
The CD drive is also not working for some reason.
We had recently replaced the old hard disc. The machine has a lot of
useful data, and if something is wrong with the new hard disc, there
seems no way we can have a back up of the data.
Another thing- this is a compact laptop and she complains that it
heats up far too much. Is it only because of the summer, or do we need
to do something about it.
One final thing- I have an HCL leaptop. There are a couple of issues with it.
1. Its volume is extremely low for my liking. Do we get free
amplifiers of some sort anywhere? Or can any tinkering be done to
enhance the volume by itself?
2. The leaptop takes a long time to charge. When I use it with the
power plug on, the battery does not charge at all. Well almost. If for
example, I use it for a couple of hours with the plug on, only then
does it get back to full capacity. What can be wrong?
Your suggestions will be appretiated.
Thanks,
Moiz.
