A group of students at the University of Victoria have founded what they call the Blind Students Movements. Students anywhere can join but the focus of the group is on students in the developing world. It is a networking group, where students can pass on help to one another on how to study subjects when certain equipment is not available. They will also discuss such topics as what Universities in the developing world are doing to accommodate blind and visually impaired students, the use of assistive technology in studying, and adapting to the University environment. The group welcomes people who work at University disability facilities. If you have a Yahoo account, join by going to the group’s home page http:groups.yahoo.com group blindstudent if not, or if you prefer to use Email, prescribe by sending an Email to: [email protected] thanks, mukesh jain.
