First of all, without trying to sound discourteous to those well meaning suggestions, we must understand that conditions like optical atrophy are basically difficult to cure medically. This has nothing to do with the efficiency of the doctors, but the complexities of the condition itself. Therefore, despite such well meaning intentions, we must first try and consider if any claim of a cure is scientifically validated. We simply can't accept treatments to be real if they are not scientifically proved to be working. Of course, deciding to go ahead with a particular mode of treatment is a matter of personal choice. But even here, we need to make sure such treatments aren't causing adverse effect on our condition. After all, as people with degenerative conditions, it is important for us to make sure we don't actually end up fast tracking our blindness.
