Pranam Bhaiya, I think here the problem is that your mail is changed to all new yahoo mail instead of clasic interface. The classic mail interface was accessible and this one is bit inaccessible. I dont remember exactly, but you need to go to options and there you will see the link "switch to clasic" or something. If you see that then I'm right or if you dont see then there is some other problem.
If my memory surves me, then you will be hearing "on mouse over" with the subject and perhaps the sender name also. E.g., hi on mouse over. Hope it helps.
