Some General Comments about the Solona Tool. Please read the entire
document before trying to use the new tool. This file was tested for
accessibility before being distributed.

1. Remember it only runs on Windows.
2. This tool replaces all the steps between using the print screen
button and saving a file in MS Paint.
3. This tool captures the window that has focus only. It does not
capture the entire desktop. You still need to verify which window has
current focus prior to executing the program. This is for your
security and privacy.
4. The image format used is PNG. The file size is much smaller and
easier to work with.
5. The tool performs an automatic scroll and captures the entire
vertical window that has focus. Basically, the entire webpage is
captured. This means that you should not get a message from a Solona
Operator telling you to scroll down so that I can see the captcha. It
is still suggested that you maximize your browser window before
capturing a screen and submit the image to Solona before you fill in
the form with any personal information.
6. Images need to be active in your browser settings in order for this
tool to work properly.
7. This tool consumes less than 2 megabytes of RAM within your system.
8. The only way to access the configuration and settings page is by
opening the program from the system tray of windows.
9. The tool overwrites the image over and over with the same file
name. This is to ensure that you always have the latest image
necessary for processing.
10. Windows Eyes Screen Reader Users: please pay close attention to
the hot key combination statements in the text below to avoid possible
hot key conflicts with existing settings.
11. There is no EULA for this program
12. This program will work in Vista and Windows 7.
13. The program does not "install". Rather, it is simply started when
you execute the file solona.exe.

Topic: How to Install the Solona Tool.

1. Create a new folder on your local drive called solona
2. Save the tool archive file to that folder, and unzip the contents
to that folder.
3. This is all there is to do for installing the software. It runs as
an independent tool. The only way to start the tool each time you
start Windows is to place a shortcut to it in your startup folder.

Topic: How to Configure the Tool
The program starts and loads as an icon in the system tray of your
desktop. It should be called 'Button' by your screen reader software.
I realize that this is not that accessible, and it will be fixed in
the next release. There are 2 areas of configuration: 1. the
shortcut key combination sequence, and 2. the filename and location
parameter. By default, the hot key is control + shift + S. This can
be changed to anything you like that includes shift, control, alt and
any alpha numeic key on the keyboard. By default, the filename is
c:\11.png . This can be changed, but keep in mind that a longer path
and file name take longer to type. The extension should always be
.png. These are the only things you can change about the program.
Everything else is taken care of.

Topic: How to use the Tool.

1. Start the tool by running Solona.exe
2. Navigate to the page that has a captcha that needs to be solved.
3. Execute the Solona program hot key combo to capture the screen and
save the file before you fill in any personal information on the form.
This is for your privacy and security. If you use the default
setting, you would type control + shift + S. You should hear a camera
sound indicating that the window was captured.
4. Navigate to www.solona.net and login to your account.
5. Navigate to the Submit a Captcha page and simply type the path and
file name into the dialogue box. If you use the default setting, you
would type c:\11.png. This means that you don't have to browse for
the file. Just type in the path and file name. It's just that easy!
6. Click the send button
7. Wait for your captcha code to be returned to you just like before.
Basically, the steps are the same as before.
