Dear Friend,

It is possible to work in Tally version 5.4 & later versions with JAWS. Scrips for using Tally 6.3 & 7.2 are available for download from the NAB Delhi website. Navigation in Tally can also be done by using the JAWS cursor.

I have personally used various versions of Tally with JAWS during the past six years. Tally is not as accessible as Word or Excel but working with the JAWS cursor & the NAB Delhi scrips makes it mostly accessible.

Your Friend

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has added a rider for offloading its
stake in the National Housing Bank (NHB) to the government by
suggesting it handle
the regulation, licensing and supervision of housing companies to
provide banks and housing finance companies a level playing field.

Housing finance companies are currently regulated by NHB, which is, in
turn, regulated by RBI. NHB is wholly-owned by RBI.

Sources close to the developments said the government is yet to take a
decision on the suggestion since RBI's proposal has met with some
opposition. Ownership
of NHB will give the government greater say in the boards of housing
finance institutions and flexibility to issue directions to meet its
priority sector
credit objectives.

RBI sources said the need for regulating housing companies arise
because they do not have prudential guidelines or risk-linked capital
limits to which banks,
which come under the central bank's purview, are subject.

mukesh jain.

Hi friends,
Regarding this subject I have my doubts.
My question is:
1. How this issue impact Visually disabled?
This coach is used only by Arthopedically disabled?
2. Is this Bhogi is a general compartment or reserved coach?
Pls let me know off the list as this thread is getting prolonged.
I will share my experience regarding this.

Service to back up phone numbers
DNA CorrespondentMonday, August 10, 2009 10:14 IST
Bangalore: You can now trace back the contacts lost on your phone.
Univercell has launched its new product called Cellsafe, through which
customers can back up their contact details onto a server, without an active
user intervention.

"Cellsafe is the first integrated contacts backup and anti-theft product in the market," said Ramesh Bharath, Vice President, Univercell. The product is
developed by Fifth C, a mobile value added service applications and
analytics company.

Cellsafe is designed to indemnify customers against mobile theft. The user
can nominate a person for the service and in case of theft, communication
can happen through the nominee's mobile number. On sending an SMS to the
Cellsafe service provider, the date protection takes place immediately.

"When a mobile phone is lost, Cellsafe provides phone contacts and wipes
out personal data on the stolen phone. The service also provides an anti-
theft mobile tracker, through which the user can trace the thief," said K
Krishna Kumar, CEO, Fifth C.

Cellsafe is certified by leading testing applications such as JAVA and
Symbian.
Customers can make use of the service by walking into any Univercell
outlet, said the service providers.

hello and a very good evening accessindians!

writing to the list after a long time, but i'm sure i'm still missed by
a lot of members. *smiles*

well, life's good here, with programming, learning and trying hard to
prepare for cracking cat this year.

oh by the way, if there's anybody who is also attempting for getting
through cat this year, please reach out to me at my personal email as
i'm still struggling with mathematical solutions and charts/graphs in
data interpretation and logical reasoning.

also, if somebody have any better idea about in which format the online
cat would be conducted, please throw some light.

i mean, if its in flash ( probability of which, is pretty high ), will
it be properly labeled for accessibility?

but that wasn't the subject, or at least the main subject, so let me
come to the point now.

recently while browsing around, i've learned from a friend of mine that
there is a website -- infact, many websites storing the Hollywood movies
with full audio description specifically for the peoples with visual
disability to equally enjoy the movies.

so i've ventured into the subject with my 70kb/s gprs, and i was impressed.

the files were in an mp3 format ( sorry peoples with low vision and
those who loved watching movie with their sited pals )

there's a human narrater describing the seens of the movie while the
movie, with all its characters, dialogs, sound effects runs in the
background.

if you've ever watched discovery channel on your television sets, you'd
understand how it will be.

and here's the catch, since the files are in mp3 format, you can put
them to your mp3 players, ipods, phone's memory card, and listen them
while you are away from your computer.

now, let me show you the other ( not so good ) side.

if you are not familiar with english accent, you mite not enjoy the
movies as i've already stated, the movies are from Hollywood, and the
narraters have accent too.

also, the files are hosted on a send space max account. which means,
resuming of partially downloaded files will not be supported.

the file size of corse is large, rangeing from 70 mb's to 300 mb's.

please visit

http://www.blindmicemart.com/assets/product_images/movies2.html

to grab movies with audio description

regards,

ruchir.

   good evening accessindians.

i've came across an interesting short poem on internet, and i've posted
that on my blog.

the theme of the post closely relates to differently able persons, and
so i'd highly recommend every accessindian to *must* give it a read once.

the post can be located at.

also, do forward to your other acquaintances to make them aware.

warm regards,
