Hello Jean,

In India, a few organisations such as National Institute for the Visually Handicapped, Dehra Dun, NIVH Regional Centre, Chennai, All India Confederation of the Blind, Delhi and other organisations are imparting training in stenography in English and the regional languages. A large number of visually impaired stenographers are working in government offices, public undertakings and private companies. For more details please contact these organisations.

With regards,

Gopalakrishnan

Subject: [AI] stenography

Dear All:

I've been asked by a colleague whether any program in India is teaching stenography to blind people or, whether there are any blind people working as stenographers in the country. On or off list replies are fine.
