My son's name is Kapilan and he is 29 years old with Lebers. His vision loss is total and his hearing loss is moderate. He wears hearing aids. He did his Bcom in India and then went to UK and did a Post graduate certificate in Management studies and Information systems. After his graduation he worked in the UK for a year and is now back in India working in Chennai. As to myself I have been my son's Visual resource and support and happen to have done a Masters in special education from the US. I am afraid myrole as a parent has been larger then my role as a special educationist. Kapil is moving on and so I thought I will share my experiences as a parent with you all.
