Hi,
its very easy. launch the Kurzweil and press f9 or + "plus" key on num pad.
in the settings menu make changes as required. change the scanner brightness
between 50 to 60. for more details read inbuilt help or contact me off the
list with queries.

hai listed members, thanks for your genuine help for helping me in
buying the scanner. I have finally bought it. I am not very good when
it comes to dealing with computer matters. But I still use it and
with the passage of time I will learn it properly.
Well friends I want to know the step by step prosidjure of scanning books.
I have Kurzweil 1000 but I don't know how to use it though I have
installed it properly on my computer. I have connected all the cables
of scanner properly and it is working. please tell me how should I
scan books. if possible write your phone no. also so that I can ask
if any problem arises.
