Dear all, Our India International Disability Film Festival, AbilityFest2009, is a great opportunity to watch some amazing films from 17 countries by, with and about people with disabilities. AbilityFest2009 will be held from Monday October 12, to Thursday October 15, at Sathyam Cinemas. There will be four screenings a day: 10am, 1pm, 4 pm and 7pm. The screening schedule is available in this link: http://www.abilityfoundation.org/ability_fest_2009_screening_schedule.html Each of the award winning films which will be screened, is worth viewing - whether it is the evocative German film "Beyond Silence", the heartwarming "The Way Home" from Korea or the 1948 B&W American classic "Johnny Belinda", which was nominated for 11 Oscars, to name a few. Our own Taare Zameen Par, will be presented for the first time in India with audio description for the blind ( audio description is a pre recorded narrative describing what is happening on the screen in between dialogues so as to enhance the cinema viewing experience for blind people). This will be screened on 15th October at 5 pm. While we do not charge for entry, you need to carry a delegate pass. Delegate passes will be available at our office on October 9, 10 and 11 (Fri, Sat, Sun) from 10am to 4 pm, and from October 12 at the venue. See you at the movies!
