Hi Swati

Let us first try to understand the spirit of the reservation. It is used to compensate the lack of information about the disability and inequality in opportunity to the disabled.

This you will appreciate is of long termimpact and not of temporary nature.

Besides, there are minimum percentage of disability to be affected for being categorised as disabled.

Hence, the possibility of reversal is usually very low.

If one is trying to fake disability and trying to get away as cured of disability is really a criminal act and could face dismissal.

In the event of genuine cure, strictly speaking the disability categorisation should be reversed and logically speaking, the employer may consider adjusting it in the next round of recruitment.

Subject: [AI] A query!

Dear All,

Kindly clear my doubt.

If I obtain a job under VI reservation and after working for about months or year, I retain my eyesight then will I be terminated from my job as I am not
a VI any more?

Your answers will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Swati Sinha
