Dear list members: Yesterday I laid my hands on Linux for the first time. I was given a Pc's with (Gnome Fadora) with Orca pre-installed in it. The reason is being that it will have no virus and free to use. But I have the following problems: 1. How to controll its continuous speech or voice? That is, when ever it reads a particular window, message, or the page, I couldn't controll or stop it like JAWS. When ever I tried to do it, it is resulting in its multi voice. That is, besides the reading voice, it also speaks with another voice. 2. I also want to have a breif idea about its environment: I just want to know its environment and plotform of (Gnome fadora) operating system. How to use it? what are the short cut keys and methods to use it effectively? Can we find any tutorials which talks about its usage, tips and techniques? (Tutorials for Gnome Fadora with orca wanted) 3. Mailing list for orca wanted: Is there any common platform for discussing Orca related issues? If so how to join it? 4. Do we need the system's sound card to use Orca effectively? Do we have to install our sound drivers or sound card to use effectively? Or we can use like NVDA? And finally, I want as much help as possible to use (Gnome Fadora) with Orca Effectively. -- With Warm Regards, "Don't call me a flower, I'll dry up; Don't call me a deer, I'll run away; Don't call me a moon, I'll wane away; Call me a shadow, I'll be with you always."
