A unique get-together

Staff Reporter

KOCHI: The Prathyasha Foundation will organise a get-together of differently
abled people to find life partners for them at the Town Hall in the city on
December 15. This is the ninth meeting of the kind that will bring together
people from across the State and beyond its boundaries seeking marital
alliances.

Everyone participating in the programme will be provided the opportunity to
introduce themselves to the gathering. Prathyasha started organising these
meetings to address a major problem in society that considers only able bodied
persons' aspirations to settle down with a life partner.

According to Simon George, chairman, Prathyasa Foundation, it is difficult to
find life partners for the differently abled. The desire of this section of our
community to settle in life with a partner is neglected by society, he said.

The meeting will also honour differently abled couples who have found each
other through these meetings. The get-together is for all people regardless of
caste or religious considerations.

There will also be counters where the differently abled persons can obtain
counselling on medical treatment, education and self-employment. A legal cell
will also provide counselling besides conducting classes on aspects of family
life. There is no fee for registration. Those interested can contact
0484-2536314 or 9446806296 or e-mail at
