Dear Members, Friends and Supporters of DAISY, The November 2009 DAISY Planet is now available at: http://www.daisy.org/news/newsletters/planet-2009-11.php. The first feature article "Europe and USA Get Ready for WIPO SCCR 19" sets the stage for the upcoming WIPO SCCR 19 meeting in December. Much has taken place in preparation for this. There has been so much going on in November that we've added a feature called "Bits & Pieces". Please do let me know what you think of it. The Tech Tips column this month is truly 'techy', so unless you are that way inclined, you might want to skim or even skip it this month! This month's "Your Story" is from Gilles Pepin, President and CEO of HumanWare (one of the first 'Friends' of the DAISY Consortium). I hope you will find it as interesting as I did when I read it. Thank you Gilles for taking the time to share your story with us. The December issue of the DAISY Planet will be published a little earlier in the month in the hopes that it will reach most people before the holiday break. Please keep your letters and suggestions coming. All are greatly appreciated. Is there something that you would like to read about in the Planet, something that others in the DAISY community need to know about? If so, please let us know. And of course, if you or someone you know has a suggestion, story or news to share with the DAISY Planet readers, let us know using the Contact Us form on the DAISY Web site (http://www.daisy.org/contactus/ selecting the "DAISY Planet Newsletter" category). Letters to the Editor are, as always, most welcome. Please forward this email to everyone you know who may be interested in reading about DAISY, the DAISY Consortium and other topics of interest to the DAISY community. All members of our mailing lists receive "The DAISY Planet". Kind regards to all, Lynn ======= Lynn Leith, Editor of the DAISY Planet, the DAISY Consortium Newsletter, [email protected], +1,905,304-9398, Canada --- The BEST Way to Read and Publish: http://www.daisy.org/get_involved/ To unsubscribe send a message to [email protected] with the subject unsubscribe.
