well, at least in windows xp systems, provided u haven't alterde ur
power action settings yet, pressing the power button shud perform a
normal shutdown. it will not save any unsaved data such as in an
opened document or somethin, but it will shutdown ur system alright.
u'll here the shutdown sound and all that. but u'll have to weight for
it to get completely turnde off, stop rotating its fans, wheels or
whatever. i'm sure u do the same after pressing start button> u> u.
as for knowing how to change the power action settings, i shall not b
able to instruct u properly, because i don hav access 2 my pc right
now. i'm writing this mail on my n70 handset. go to ctrl panel, open
power properties, and just search around and u'll find it.....
