Access for differently abled

Staff Reporter

KOCHI: The Town Hall in Kochi now has a steel and aluminium ramp making it
accessible for the differently abled. This is the beginning of the process for
making the city accessible to the differently abled. For Simon George, the
founder chairman of Prathyasha Foundation, the right of access for the
differently abled is a passion that keeps him moving from one project to
another. "We plan to make Kochi a model city regarding access for the
differently abled," he said. Prathyasha, an organisation working for welfare of
the differently abled, is planning to form a national-level forum to promote
their rights.
