I have a similar talking weighing machine purchased from Cobolt Systems in
the UK. With regard to its accuracy: My experience has been that the machine
displays the wrong weight the first time around when used after a long gap.
However, on checking weight for the second time and any number of times
subsequently immediately thereafter, it displays the correct weight and does
so consistently.

Saksham used to sell these machines. You may want to check with them about
whether they still do.

Sorry for the late response. I am not sure this mail has been replied to but
I can give you my own experienceabout talking weighing machines.
There are 2 kinds-one which weighs kitchen items and the other on which you
can stand and weigh yourself.
I have the one on which I can stand and weigh myself.
I bought it online -I think maxiaids.

Had a friend carry it from the US. It cost about Rs. 2500 about5 years ago.
It works on one square battery.
It announces the weight in a clear voice and flashes it in red-good for low
visioned apart from great for the blind.
It is delicate and you have to really handle with care.
Also it is not perfectly accurate-if you stand once and then stand again
immediately you might find a 200 gramme difference. Still it is very useful.
I dont have more information

Regards Kanchan
